The History or Story Behind My Site
RCMP Officer Julie Anne Golden was born in 1934. Her mother was a professor at University of Toronto. Her father was a very successful businessman. Julie excelled in everything she ever did. She participated in ballet, figure skating, sang and played the baritone saxophone. She flew planes, parachuted, scuba dived, did gymnastics and worked on architectural design. Julie and her freinds designed the Eaton Center. Julie was working on her degree in medicine from University of Toronto and was slated to start flying the F104 Starfighter with me at the time of her death. Julie wanted to be a member of the RCMP from the time she was a little girl. Julie Golden was an Icon from the time she joined. Julie Golden loved everything about the RCMP and Canada. She was totally patriotic, big, powerful and smart. The total woman. And she had a gentle sensitive caring spirit with the solidity of a linebacker for the Minnesata Vikings. She was the total woman and role model to any and all she came in contact with. Julie Golden's education credentials were acquired through years of hard work and study. Julie Golden was constantly studying and adding degree after degree to her C.V. Curiculum Vitae (resume). That is the kind of role model I considered a worthy mentor. The people I have worked with include Mentor Julie Anne Golden, Siquorney Weaver, General Charles Chuck Yeager and his lovely wife Victoria. President George W. Bush and his father former president Bush, General Colin Powell, Commander John Glenn and a host of highly qualified, experienced and serious Air Force Fighter Pilots such as USAF MOGAS whom I consider to be the number one fighter pilot in the USAF today, USAF Commander and NASA Astronaut Eileen Collins STS-114 Space Shuttle Atlantis, and NASA Astronaut Dr. Karen Nyberg. My team is comprised of "THE BEST" people at the top who have EARNED our right to be there. Flying the F-15, F-16, A-10, C5Galaxy, Mig-29, Phantom F4 and the Space Shuttle does more than just change you. It gives you the CONFIDENCE to believe in yourself and go on to achieve anything in life. I have worked with the Gods and it has been a priviledge all the way.
Others
There are other people we want to pay tribute to. Captain Danko from Royal Canadian Air Force an F104 Starfighter pilot killed on Mar.14, 1977 in Germany while doing a high speed low altitude pass. His RIO Radar Intercept officer was also killed.
STS107 Space Shuttle Columbia which we all witnessed on Feb.1, 2003.
STS51 Space Shuttle Challenger which exploded on take off Jan 16,1986 I believe. The haunting thing is that STS107 did a memorial to STS51 Challenger because of its anniversary.
